    im trying to sell some things on ebay, but i dont have a credit card so they wont let me open an account! can somebody please help me sell these things......

    Welcome Jacob. You probably need some one you know to help you, some one in your neighborhood or maybe a family member. Don't know how a stranger a world away could help you.

    thanks for the welcome, good idea on the neighbor thing but, i just moved here and dont have any family or neighbors......hmmm hows this, anyone wanna buy a nice xbox and 2 computer games for $105.00 ?

    Why don't you try Craigslist.org (for your region) since it's free to list things and requires no credit cards.

    most areas have stores now that you can take your merchandise into and they will list and sell it on Ebay. Obviously they take a small cut. See if there are any of these where you live...No credit card required.

    Just take it by the mall- the video game stores will buy it from you.

    You know, and not to flame or anything, but did you think people here would give you a credit card number so you could sell something? Or let you use their eBay account after you have been here for about five minuets?

    Go to the mall and buy a $25 gift card, it will give you the 16 digit VISA number and the 3 digit security code on the rear for opening an eBay account.

    eBay wants a credit card to charge you their selling fees, they bill you at the end of the month.

    It has been well documented that the major flaw in eBay is shill bidding created by bogus accounts. Now that gift cards give you a credit card number there is no safety associated with "having a credit card number on file" to find a bad guy.

    Some show, 60 Minutes or 20/20, something like that had a story about kids accessing porno sites with gift cards. The safety gate at porno sites was the assumption you had to be 18 years old to get a credit card, now debit cards give you the ability to bypass the gate.
