Sorry to post a treat about Mclaren model here but I am sure
there are many people here who like Ferrari and Mclaren as I do.
I purchased this model from ebay item number: 6594131143
It has been almost 3 months and still no model.
Seller just makes up new story all the time although he
    confirmed he received the payment.
His name is RAYMOND LEE and his ebay ID is "rcclee"
I will not allow him to sell that model on ebay as I will be
    watching his auctions.
Feel free to ask any questions about this deal.I am sure there
are many Mclaren model collectors in this forum.
But please be careful with this dangerous crook.

    regards,

    Gokhan

    Gokhan,

Keep in mind, you live in Turkey. Sometimes it takes a while to ship stuff that far. Also, it is possible that your item is in customs, waiting to be claimed after you pay a fee. What has the seller said?

You're the first complaint he had in an entire year with over a hundred positive comments. Sounds more like a customs issue to me. Good luck anyway!

PS: I just got an item from Canada, after 1 month in the mail/customs.

    Thanks everybody for your replies.
It is not customs,he has never sent the item.I asked for tracking number of
    EMS and he never replied.
EMS takes 8 to 10 days from US.Normal airmail takes 15 17 days.
I made bank transfer and he said he received it in 1 month.
The interesting thing is he uses the same bank as Mike from Miniwerks
and he receives in 2 days.
I always use EMS wherever possible if not courier service.
I even asked him to send it with ups because time was running out and he still didn't replied.
It was obvious in the first 10 days after the auction was over that I was going to have problem with this seller.
I have been unlucky this time.

    Thank you.

if you have paid by paypal, you can fill a claim and get your money back. It happens to me. I sold a mint Mclaren model but it was damage during shipping so i had to refund the car and shipping. It sucks, i lost money, time and my mint model. At least, it protects the buyer.

paypal only give you 30 days to claim, after that you aren't covered, I sympathise with you as they stung me £112 for a parcel that 'alledgedly' never turned up

Unfortunately I paid with bank transfer. He obviously thought he can pull
this trick on me and not send the model.

    Thanks,Gokhan

The auction also says you needed to take insurance. If the package never got you then its lost. Correct? Why arent you asking him to file the insurance claim? Or did you and he didn't respond to that. I see he also left you negative feedback even though you paid. These sellers are the ones that ruin it for the rest of us. Even if he truly did send it and its lost he should work it through the post office for the insurance unless he didn't actually insure the package. Either way he knows you can't really do anything about it now.

Those models are very hard to find. Sorry you got burned and in a big way.

I guess there is something wrong at customs in turkey!! I shipped three parcels to Turkey in the last 2 years. All three were never received by the owners. Very strange if you ask me.

    kind regards

I think it is very possible that someone witrhin the Turkish government simply took the items. This has happened a fw times to me with items sent to third world countries.

    Hello Ed,
I asked for insured EMS shipping but we couldn't come to the point
where we can talk about refund.I asked him tracking no of EMS and he didn't even replied.
I told him to send it with UPS courier service on my account because time
was running out but he didn't replied to this either.
It was obvious he planned everything from the beginning.
That amount is not going to make him rich and is not going to make me poor
but it means that is what his is worth.
I am sorry to hear your problem with the items you sent to Turkey and not received Chris.
I regularly receive models from 1/43 to 1/8 scale never had problem. It must be insured and registered.
Here is help,if you have the postal number of your box when you sent it, give it to the person you sent.
Rarely the box just sits at a corner of the post office here forgotten because of national holidays.
And if the person has that number he can check it from the main computer of the post office by asking.
It happened to me once and I solved it.
    regards,Gokhan

I think post offices around world are not the most trustable places.
I stopped asking shipping from UK with post office.Only UPS or DHL.
I lost 2 items and one badly damaged model.never happened anywhere else.
UK is not a third world country

I was not trying to say Turkey was a third world country, but simply that I have had any number of packages sent to the middle east, smaller countries in Asia, and some to Africa "not arrive"

Developing country would be more correct.
It would be best to send parcel to Turkey insured and registered, or at least
    insured.
I think same think is valid for some other post offices around the world.
For some reason post office personel can understand that the package is insured or registrered and no good to touch.
There are bad people in every profession.

Last time, I sent a package to Turkey last month, it takes about 7 days to arrive Turkey via EMS. Then, the package got stuck with the custom for another 5 days before it reached its destination. But, overally to conclude the case, I can feel that the seller may not ship out the models, some kind of online fraud...
