That is what it read but when I have sold other things they charge by the amount of the sold item ... I guess cars are unique in this respect .

Ebay motors is flat fee. I believe its $40 to list and another $40 if it sells.

Years ago it was a percentage, they changed it because everyone was working the deal off ebay and ending the auction and saving the fees.

eBay Motors has unique fees for selling vehicles and for featuring items on eBay Motors. Listing items in the Passenger and Other Vehicles categories costs a fixed $40.00 to list. A $40.00 transaction services fee is also charged only if the item receives a bid (and in the case of reserve auctions, a bid that meets reserve). Motorcycles and Powersports (i.e., ATV's, Go-Karts, Personal Watercraft, Scooters & Mopeds, and Snowmobiles) cost a flat $30.00 to list. A $30.00 transaction services fee is also charged only if the item receives a bid (or in the case of reserve auctions, a bid that meets reserve). All items listed in the Parts & Accessories categories are priced just like other items on eBay. Additional features that help drive sales (e.g. featured listings, bold, icons) are also available for a fee depending upon the category listed. Learn more about fees to sell on Motors.
