My experience on eBay tells me this is not for real. The bizarre name and 0 feedback is the clue. You win...send deposit...they disappear! Ferrari 308 Gtsi | eBay Oh, no! There are two. Same BS description... Ferrari 308 GTS | eBay
I guess I'll never understand some ebay sellers who take crap photos for their listings...yeah right... I'm positively not buying your car if you only put 2-3 pics of the car up for us to see...just makes the whole thing seem well like a scam! And still some people bid on it.
They highjack other peoples listings and make it their own. It happened to me when I was selling my 355. An Fchatter alerted me that my very same listing was listed by a different seller for a much cheaper "Buy It Now" price. Zero feedback is usually the giveaway. And the fact that it's advertized as an '83 and that is not a QV shown.
User name sounds like a dealer yet there is no continuity in the type of photos provided or the venue of the photos. The VIN plate in one is the only blurry photo. Any dealer would know to look at the VIN plate or engine bay EPA decal to get the correct year. Labman has it right I expect.
I notice on the first car that the AutoCheck shows the vehicle lost 13,527 miles between 1993 and 2014.
I don't believe the speedometer is correct for that car. I could be wrong but I was under the impression that the 85 mph speedometer was gone by the 82 308 model. It was used through 81 and was never on the QV.
This thief read this thread! His name was listed as something like 75hg65hjsl (thats what I meant about the name being suspect) and now it's ferrari exotics! And people are actually bidding... Let's get him!!!
Did anyone read the revision? "Seller Policy: Please note that this vehicle is listed on multiple sites. If the car is sold to someone else and a ebay bidder wins and pays for the the item. Winning bidder will be refunded if the car does not go to their party." Scam!!! That winning bidder will never get a dime of it back.
The first one (ZFFAA02A5C0039261), the VIN decodes to an 82 while the ad says 83. Here's an earlier ebay ad from October 2014. No photos but it does include the previous owner's phone number. Very Clean Low Milage 1982 308 Gtsi Ferrari | eBay
They also have a Testarossa and a Hennessy Venom (asking $2,000,000) for sale... massive scam alert. Has anyone alerted ebay?
Hey maybe they expect you to pay the full amount via payapl. They don't want you to be suprised or anything. they will refund all your money. Haha
Same here but was successful because I provided definitive proof. So far, that's not the case here since links and conflicting images are difficult to convey at ebay.
The starwood car is a pic of mine...for some reason the dealership listed it under that us vin instead of the correct euro vin, all kinda of screwing up the carfax on the grey car...
I asked the seller a question (where the cars could be seen), but his slimy response doesn't show up on eBay. Here is the reply: The thing is i'm selling it for someone. The see is quite busy to show the car. I'm located in san jose. The car is near LA near magic mountain. I tend to get a lot of these quetions in regards to cars like this. Ferrari owners typically take care of there cars very well like how you see in the picture. Mainly the car needs a detail but that's pretty much it. - ferrariexotics
