Who was the EC Crewmember up at the top of Perkins Memorial Drive (Bear Mountain) at around 4:45PM today?

    Beautiful silver 575, I did a double-take when I saw the EC sticker(s).

Wanted to say hello, but you took off just as I was walking towards the car.

Incredible car and a perfect day to visit the area (too bad it was a bit crowded).

hey - you caught me! 550 actually.

wish I had seen you - where were you? would definitely have stopped to talk.

I was in a little bit of a hurry to come back into the city, but it was a great afternoon to be out there. while the weather's nice i'll probably try to run up there every now and again to do some walking up there. so nice.

Sorry about that, only caught a quick glance of the car before you pulled out. I think we almost bumped into each other when you were heading towards the car.

I was the geeky guy with glasses/black jacket standing by a black Audi A4 at the far end of the lot.

I had a camera in hand trying to get some foliage picts, along with the ten thousand others up there...

Anyhow, it was nice to hear the V12. When was that road repaved? It's like glass now. I remember when I had to check my suspension after every trip up/down that minefield.

wow - totally missed you. that road is nice, isn't it. I actually haven't been up there before (if you can believe it!) but know what those steeper roads can be like when they don't get well maintained. I went up to Bash Bish falls from the western Mass side a few weeks ago and was scraping and bumping all the time... also got lost and drove a mile or two on a dirt/gravel road. My poor 550 wasn't too happy with me by then, but she puts up with a lot!

Well, hope you had a good time up there. Was certainly a beautiful day, even if the leaves are a bit past their peak.

I swear I'm not stalking you but I was up there last weekend and those roads were murder! I'm sure the 550 had fun playing SUV for a day.

I also ran into dirt roads that looked like normal roads on MapQuest, but I didn't even attempt to try them. Learned my lesson from a stressful ride into the wilderness of Vermont a few years ago.

    Take care,
    -Pete

LOL. wow that is funny. i was there maybe three weeks ago. leaves were great then. roads not so good. i've taken the 550 up there before in the last few years, but don't remember it being quite as bad as this last time.
