Ecclestone: Mercedes helped Ferrari become title rival

I only read what Bernie said. i would imagine he has more idea about what went on in F1 ,up to when he was ousted,than anyone else on the planet ,including us FChat warriors.

I would not be at all surprised if Ferrari had been helped in some ways by the FIA/Bernie post 2008 but somehow still managed to screw up. All the talk of MB receiving assistance from FIA is just that,talk.A lame excuse for Ferrari not producing.

 

Ah, so it's BS if it concerns Mercedes, but must be true if it's ferrari? A very balanced fchat view there.

 

So it's all talk that Ferrari had their toys taken away this season, making them uncompetitive in qualifying and losing downforce?

It's just hearsay that FIA kept enforcing the engine freeze despite Mercedes being lightyears ahead in engine development, letting others to twiddle their thumbs and not allowed to catch up?
