Eclipse

I understand that there were few land mass areas where this eclipse was visible. It was partial and I think saying that 1/4 of the sun's disc was blocked would be generous. It was hard to detect any diminution in the day's brightness.Still, it was cool to see. I could not get a good clear image with the camera and filters that I had. I won't have to wait by the phone for the call from Keck Observatory....;>)

This shot turned out to be kind of "artsy". I was trying various filter combinations. The blue filter was not dark enough, but it did leave a secondary image that was close to what I was seeing just looking through the filters with my eye. It must be a reflection off one of the camera's lenses. It is a mirror image.
