I'm Jeff from KC. Buying my first Ferrari...a '97 F355. I'm struggling with the range of costs for a E/O. I've found a local independent (well respected in town) who suggests I'll spend $6-10K. $6k being a basic belt replacement etc...$10K including alot of stuff that "should probably be done" like spark plugs, wires, etc... Anyone have a feel about what's realistic? I don't mind spending the money, but want to make sure I don't overspend. Thanks to anyone with feedback.

As a new F355 owner myself (yesterday began the sixth week) I can't speak from experience. I will say that I plan to do all of my own work whenever possible to help save the wallet. We did the belts/seals etc. On my fathers Testarossa and saved about $8500. The big cost is in the labor.

Good luck with your purchase and be sure to post pictures when you get it. I guess I should do the same and make my official introduction.

    Welcome, Jeff...

Check out the 348/355 section... a little searching, and I think you'll find the answers to all your questions.
