The CIS system does not have an easily modified engine management system. You can help it out a bit by changing the exhaust to a more free flow system, Hyperflow cats and pre-cats with a sport muffler, or for track use you can install 'test pipes' and a sport muffler. This will give a seat of the paints improvement and sounds great. K&N or BMC air filter helps a little as well. If that does not get the owner where he wants to be we have done Motec EFI and or Twin Turbo systems on 20 TR's, this makes a big difference. Our stage one system with the intercooler option will make 600 ish and gives the TR a completely new personality, if he is real thirsty for power we have systems for 1000 plus horsepower. There are also brakes, tire/wheels, and suspension mods to help the overall performance of the TR's. If he is looking just to perk it up go for the exhaust mods, we have a used Tubi w/ Hyperflow primary cats we pulled off a car getting turbos for sale right now if interested.

There is no ECU.........it is mechanical CIS injection.

If the new owner is dissatisfied with the performance of the 86 Testarossa, spend a minute with him/her and show them how to get it into 2nd gear.

did that thanks as well as the longest test-drives in history(almost 2 hours) but he always had muscle cars and zo6's and its just not "fast" to him.
I've forwarded a bunch of links to different sites and am awaiting his descision, thanks for the help guys.

Have him put a tubi on it....it sounds better than any V-8 and then explain to him that the car is geared for high speed not low 1/4 mile times. But you have to admit, a Norwood 600hp conversion would be a blast!
