I ran across the old Autoweek Road Test, pretty nice shape.

It also has an article about Nick Mason's Ferraris, and a trip to Modena to track test the F40.

If any 348 owners would like to have it I can forward in the mail...I hope the file attachment works!

    Hooray!

    That works.....

If more than one response, I'd be glad to color copy the articles for you...reading thru the other articles, the 348TB was a giant among cars, at the time of it's introduction! LOL!

I can scan it in, like I did the cover.....will do that later.

Cheever had just returned to CART from his F1 career, it's pretty interesting what he has to say.....

That's all I put up for now....I was trying to give it away!

I guess I should have taken the Shop Owners name off though, sorry about that!!

They work on Porsche, Audi, VW and Mercedes, and won't even change the OIL in my Fcar!! LOL!

There, some people don't understand The VOLUME of useless stuff, in my garage!

I can harldy get the Ducati in and out......ROTFLMAO!
I knocked the mirror off the other night and it took 15 minutes of 'clean up' time to put the spring loaded thing BACK on!!

    Off to the scanner!

I never did find the saw blades I was searching for...very frustrating.

    Nice article...thanks for sharing.

Legend has it that LDM found every one of these articles, had them burned and those that read it eliminated to avoid witnesses. Thank god you survived the sweep, but be careful...he is still in control and his legion stands waiting to change history and declare him the masiah.....LOL!!!!

    Thanks again for sharing.

Right underneath it was the Autoweek test of the 512TR!

That's one of the psychological issues of my life, the "keep everything you ever read, in case you might want to read it again" syndrome.

I hope there's a 12 Step but for now my workaround is "Give it all away on Fchat!"

I'm going to sell off my four flat files of posters, so wait for that thread in collectibles.....I have awesome stuff and every wall of my apartment is done!

    You want the whole magazine?

"Some Ferraris SHOULD be red, but you need a few other colors as well........"
    Nick Mason

That guy ...his picture is next to the word "cool" in the dictionary.

    Thanks Tex, really nice find.

There are quite a few articles out there that rate the 348 highly, seems these often get ignored by those who put the car down and claim that there's nothing but bad press out there. I've even read one where the author described the 348 as "a sensation!" and that it made a laughing stock of the Honda NSX (not sure I'd go that far, but was his opinion) and that comparing it to the BMW 850i was like watching a nature programme where a whale eats a plankton. He even said he prefered it to the Lambo Diablo on a TV test and played the article out to the song 'Simply the Best'. Years later, when it became fashionable to knock the 348, the same journalist used the 348 as an example of Ferrari not getting it quite right and said it felt like it's wheels were made of wood?!? True to say the motoring press can be a little fickle.

    Anyway, nice read, cheers.

I've had that magazine since it was new, I subscribed to Autoweek back then. Never thought to post it, sorry....

Did they really only get 12 MPG "average" while Eddie was driving it?

They did say the traffic was a bit stop start, maybe that contributed to it?
