Who's going? I really want to, but would like to share expenses and so on. Hotels are rather pricey because of this race.

    Anyone planning on going?

I'm not sure if too many people are excited about this race. They're holding it at the municipal airport. Don't know if you've ever seen an airport race on TV, but they're pretty boring. I know it's not just the racing that people go for, but I wouldn't be too keen on spending 5 hours out in the middle of what is basically a field, with no shade on a hot July day in Edmonton. I went to the Vancouver race the last 4 years and had a blast. Maybe it's just me, but I jsut can't get excited enough to make the journey up #2.

    Just my .02

The tickets I am looking at, you are seated in the grandstands across from the pits. There are general entrance tickets of course, where you just stand on the field. I've never been to a race, so I would like to go.

Sorry, I guess I came off a little discouraging in my last post. Didn't mean to.

Anyways, good call on the general tickets; that way you can find out what you want the race to be, without worry about wasting $200 on seats! I hope you have a blast and I'm sure you will take some awesome pics!

P.S. Make sure to keep an eye out for race fans that drive themselves. Whenever I was in Vancouver, it was like an exotic car show in the valet area.

A little discouraging, but it was your own experience so no problem in posting what you thought about it.

I am looking into grandstand tickets, but also general admission. General admission will be crowded as hell, and not guaranteed a viewing spot. So I think it's best to go into the grandstands.

I am still looking for someone else that is going. I really want to go, but going alone would be kinda...lonerish? Haha.
