    The 599 GTB uses the factory 6.0 liter V12, already the most powerful 12 cylinder berlinetta to come from Maranelo, but has a recalibrated ECU, modified intake system, performance exhaust and high-flow catalytic converters. The 630 GTB on the other hand uses the 6.3 liter FXX engine producing a whopping 750 hp.

    Engine available in 2 output levels:

    Level 1 – F599 GTB
    Recalibrated ECU, modified intake system, performance exhaust system and high-flow catalytic converters; Realized output: est. 650 hp.
    Level 2 – 630 GTB

    6.3 ltr. FXX – engine conversion; Realized output: est. 750 hp

    I can only imagine the pricing, especially for option #2. A FXX Engine alone must be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

    it's not a real fxx engine, only a marketing trick
    btw the same conversions were revelead about a month ago for vandenbrink 599 GTO/630 GTO, edo giving engines there too

    I thought that it was too good to be true, not to mention the fact that there would be no way it is financially possible. I guess computer updates, software changes, exhausts, high flows, and a few other things can change the power greatly.

    I hope that some time will see factory 630 GTB with such engine. But that is only my sweet dreams.

    that's just level 1, which gets ya 650hp... the 750hp option simply gets its power from the increase in displacement, 6.3 litre..here the internals are modified (obviously). the engine in the FXX, has lots of Ferrari 'secrets' it appears, and the FXX Evo's 850hp and revving to 9,500 rpm is just ludicrous. THAT engine would be to die for, surely.

    Correct.

    599 GTO, 650 hp version receives new exhaust system and updated electronics.
    630 GTO, +750 hp version will have all possible modifications.

    Edo Competition maintains and prepares a genuine FXX for one of their customers.
    The original 599 GTB engines are being rebuilt using all new, lighter (titanium) and coated moving components, new air intake system, new exhaust system with silencer bypass valve and updated electronics.
