Something a bit more light hearted.

Too cool. Looks like it would be fun to be passenger on that...lots of tight turns. :)

Yup, if you consider 30 degree banks tight turns.

In the Stearman it could be 80-90 degree bank with the stick in your gut if you wanted.....and it would do it. In a BT-13 or a PT-19 you would be on your back or whatever wondering where the horizon was. Fun stuff !

Bob- When we delivered nukes, we used a toss maneuver and the recovery was a 135 degree banked turn and then back down to terrain following radar altitude. Turns out 135 degrees of bank was the minimum turn radius bank for an F-111. Lots of fun at night, with both crewmembers' eyes glued to the instruments and TFR screen. We wanted to be as far away as possible when the radar activated fuze on the B-61 timed in.

Luckily never had to do that with a B-61 with a physics package in it.

30 degree banks and turbulence are the most fun I've ever had in the skies as I have only ever flown commercial. I wish I could ride in a fighter someday, but I'll probably never get an invite for the #7 Thunderbird or Blue Angel back seat ride.

You need a ride in an aerobatic airplane. Ask around and one of your friends likely has one or knows someone who does.

I got to thinking about horsing around in the Stearman and recalled how much fun it was to set up a tight 720 and slam in full top rudder and full back stick and do a snap roll into a vertical reverse. Was seldom able to stop it in time from getting the nose from dropping below the horizon. Those were the days.
