All the SEMA bling just isn't to my taste. And I really don't get why they trashed a running, driving car. If they'd taken a donor car that was beyond saving, and returned it to stock looking inside and out except for an EV and battery pack, I might have a different reaction. But this is just sad.

Plenty of those here, but the most prominent ones require subscription to access. ;)

Perhaps this electrified Frankenstein of a Dino will eventually find a home with an internet "influencer." Only someone with extreme narcissistic sensibilities would be worthy of such a fine creation! Fred

The builder stated in the video that he expects to convert a few more Dinos--- since this one turned out so well. He then mentions that the car's owner may also convert a Muria.

In the near future we will certainly see more idiots destroying some precious and rare cars.
These guys have zero automotive culture and no respect for the work of those who designed and manufactured these cars.

Somewhere there needs to be a car builder jail so we can make sure he never does this to another car again.

Its what you get when monstrous marries hideous.

If I had more hair, I would want a 'do like the guy in the cover of the film. A Dino masterpiece? More like a Dino Martyrdom. Yuk.

Just to provide some closure and a happy ending to this tale I am glad to report that all these parts have been sold and will be used to resurrect the burnt up Dino that was sold by Gullwing a few months back.
So from this EV - which everyone was bottom hurt about - a Dino will live on.
The two cars are identical (except int/ext colours) and were built only months apart.
A kudos should go to my friend Johnny who took the time and money and patience to wait and store the parts waiting for the EV project to complete (more than 18 months!) which allowed the parts to all remain together and be used on this project.
Maybe if I get info I will start a new thread: The Phoenix Dino

While I can understand your “friend’s” desire to capitalize from the unfortunate fate of this "Dynamo"(?), I also feel that had this “crypto rich” (whatever that means ???) yahoo who commissioned or those who performed its "transformation"(?) for him been intelligent, real vintage car enthusiasts, they would’ve not only designed, engineered & constructed it in a manner it could relatively easily be returned to its original configuration, but would’ve also insisted on saving and storing all its original components & parts so it could be restored using them in the future, after its current owner gets bored with and sells it (and yes, he will sell it, probably sooner than later, as things like this tend to loose luster soon after their 15 minutes is up).

OTOH, it appears that with relatively high estimated survival rate, Dino’s are not very rare, so fortunately plenty still exist in their original configuration, but let’s hope the next yahoo subjecting another example to something similar has enough sense and wealth to do it intelligently and with the respect vintage cars deserve.

Being able to revert the Dino to internal combustion makes sense. But the person doing the conversion probably believed that the car was becoming what it should be and never considered that anyone would prefer to convert it back to gas power. If electric is their vision, to them it makes sense not to hold on to the past and focus only on their vision of the future. Just sad that they didn't have someone create the car from scratch and leave an original car in its original configuration.

As I mentioned before, most of these kinds of things are usually conceived & “created” for the 15 minutes of shock & awe fame with little to no consideration for anything else and will never see any actual use to justify(?) its existence.
This thing will be old news and probably forgotten by next SEMA show, but someone will try to outdo it with something even sadder.
