488 Electric seat problem

Has anyone had experience with a backrest that is not able to move? When trying to adjust the driver's seat, the motor clicks but it doesn't move up or down. The mechanism seems to have failed. Other adjustments are working, just the backrest.

 

backrest? You mean headrest? Headrest goes up and down, backrest goes back and forth.... confused. But either way, they are separate motors... OR more than likely, if you're hearing clicking, the motor is getting power so there is possibly something like a pen stuck where the parts are supposed to move... dig around the best you can to find an obstruction.

 

How much you weigh big boy?

 

I mean the backrest does not go back and forth.

@Eric C I purchased a car "as is." It doesn't work since I have a car and i 'm big too 6'3" 250 lbs.
