All - I am putting together my order for the 488 GTB and I am very unclear on the difference between the two. Is it really worth 2500 more for the full electric? Any thoughts on this would be great.

Does it include folding outside mirrors?

I ordered electric seats in my 18. I did not see the value in the full electric sests. I had full in my 458 and never used memory or heated seats....

Yea, it is 3500 more (not 2500) and I am struggling to justify it. With the regular electric seats do they also raise up?

I have the full electric seats on my '17 488. I like the memory part of it if there is a situation where someone else drives it. Heated part of it, at least here in Texas, is not really used that much. I never saw it connected to the folding mirrors on my order sheet.

heated seats are amazing in a spider. In a coupe, not so much unless you dd it year round -- if its cold enough to matter, chances are you probably would not be in your ferrari

seat memory i've heard is nice if you adjust the seat for ingress/egress. However I have never done that.

Thanks waterking. If it’s not connected to the folding mirrors it just doesn’t seem worth it. I live in Chicago, but won’t drive the car much in the winter so heated seats are not critical. I am the only one who will drive it so memory seats just don’t matter. Think this helps me make my decision, I will just go with the electric seats.

On 458 in addition to above comments, Full power seats include 3 memory positions which include steering wheel and outside mirrors. Also, steering wheel moves up out of the way when you turn off ignition.

Also with the 488 fully electric seats the sides can be adjusted to fit different drivers or if you need more support for faster driving etc.
also lumbar support is nice to have, to really make the seat fit. i ordered them with daytona styling

Macki is exactly right...the full seats do have additional adjustments that can help. I cannot find the connection to the mirrors but babwine is right on the 458...and it may have carried over. Hopefully, someone else can chime in with some certainty for you.

Base electric seats may be more comfortable for you than full electric seats. The lumbar pillow inflation of the full electric seats seems to inflate into a hemispherical shape, with slightly less parasagittal support than the standard electric seat. I find the base electric seat to be slightly more comfortable than the full electric seat, no matter how the full electric seat is adjusted.

You may wish to sit in each of these sets to help you better decide.

With full electric, don't forget you get the tilt of passenger side mirror when Reverse is engaged. This helps with curbs when parking. Also, when you fold the mirrors in (this feature is standard) and then fold them out, at times the mirrors may not revert to their original position. This is where the seat memory comes in handy.

And yes, the seat heating function is nice too. Allows one to crack the windows open during mild weather seasons.

I forgot about the tilt in reverse. Given the limited visibility of the 458/488, this is an invaluable and IMHO necessary option. Other than $$$, too many upsides and really no downsides. Not to spend anyone’s money, but for what the 48i Spider costs, another few thousand should not be the deciding factor

Tilt reverse is absolutely mandatory. I have a car without it and its the single worst option missing.

In the 458 the full electric seat option covers four very nice amenities.

When reversing , the auto mirror tilt

When driving with the top open in cool weather, there is the seat warmer.
When getting in and out, there are two nice advantages. The steering wheel tilts up and then you can program a memory setting button to position the seat posteriorly to also aid in egress and ingress, esp when

Folding mirrors are standard. Mine has them with racing seats and no homelink.

Also, full auto-dimming mirrors are INCLUDED with the full electric seats... this is a must have in a 488 and no questions about it. You can spec it on any 488 regardless of seat selection, but the price difference is a joke on a Ferrari.

FWIW , I passed on the “full electric “ and went with Daytona seats with regular electric on my inbound , which is the same as on my 458 spider.

If you select Full Electric seats, then outside side mirrors and interior rearview mirror will auto-dim, which can also be enabled/disabled by pushing a button on the interior mirror.

Hi Guys, I do not know this for a fact, BUT in my memory there are several options associated with electric seats. ".

    1. First you can buy a power seat that will move back and forth for one price.
    2. Then you can add power that lets you raise and lower the seat, and perhaps with Memory, in addition for an additional price.
    3. Then if you want heated seat, and Maybe COOL, with lumbar support, this is available for an additional price.

I think it can add up to $6,00 or $7,000. I hope somebody will confirm "With pricing" . Thanks
