Electric window access cover size 1984 308QV UK

Mine were missing completely. Someone sent me one from another '77 GTB for reference. I ordered ones from DinoParts and compared them. The ones from Dino were larger in diameter to the original. Though I asked another FChatter to measure on his 308 (77?) and they were also larger. So I never found out which is correct. I'm watching this thread to see if anyone chimes in. Meanwhile, I'll measure the ones I have so you can compare. If you search for '21819' on here you will see my posts on that somewhere.

 

Just measured them. The Dino Parts measure 44mm dia (with cover) and the old one i have measures around 41.5mm (a little under, but I rounded up). Note that the older part the cover has probably shrunk over the decades, but the steel inside appears larger on the Dino one. I think the Dino part number ref was 30063101 and it may be for a GT4. I'm not sure. I would think they would try to use the same plugs across other models. Or could simply be that after-market ones are larger.

 

Yup. My guess is the originals (on non GT4 308s at least) were 41mm since the 41mm one I have looks original (old). The good news is you should be able to make the large one smaller to match so long as you don’t have a shadow of the larger one on the door panel. That’s what I am going to do. I am redoing my door panels so I’m learning a lot about this.
