Hello. 1983 308 GTS QV. Hidden under my battery mount I found the original, I think, negative battery cable/chassis ground which was at some point chopped off and left for dead. Image Unavailable, Please Login The other 1/2 of the connector I assume attaches to a grounding strap and to the frame. Does anyone have a photo showing it in place? I just have an aftermarket undersized cable with an eye at the end attached to a bolt drilled into the frame without any attention to detail or respect. Thank you.
Do a search using "Anderson PP120" for prior threads that might have some photos (that connector is an Anderson PP120 Powerpole connector).
Here is a picture of my 328 with the spare tire tub removed. It is just above center in the picture. Image Unavailable, Please Login
While it is a high quality connector, its location is not as easy to access. I removed mine all in one piece, attached a ground cable switch ( a red 90 degree twist ground isolator switch whose key comes out ). I can disable the battery with one twist now.
I think the OEM connector is great - I disconnect/connect mine on a regular basis - don't even need to look/just by feel.
