Looking for crimpers that can crimp (AMP Mate N Lock) connectors. They are barrel pin connectors that must be crimped perfectly to fit in the plastic sleeve. Can not find these special crimpers anywhere. Please help I have alot of new strobes and LEDs for the police car. Can't hook them up without these crimpers. If you help I promise not to write you any tickets down here in the county.

I might have what you need. I think the piece ran me ~90 bucks. Can you post a picture or link to the connectors just to make sure?

    285Ferrari,
This is your lucky day. I worked for AMP for 12 years as an Engineer. In fact, my first job out of school was working for their tooling application group (automated machines, applicators, and hand tools) to crimp terminals to wires.

I still know many people there and still live in the area (Harrisburg, PA). I have a good friend who is a Product Manager for RBG (Red, Blue, Green) terminals that I can contact to get you the right hand crimp tool. Just tell me what terminal P/N you are using and I can help get you a tool. Why pay $90 when these tools cost just a few bucks.

Send me an email and I'll help you out.

I don't suppose you happen to have an inside line on getting a Molex automatic crimping press, do ya? :) The cheapest I've seen 'em are around $600-700 or so, which is a little pricey, but we do a few hundred crimps a day and it gets old doing it with a hand crimper.
