How many of you have had electrical and/or electronic problems with your Ferrari ? If so, please state what model Ferrari you have and whether or not it has Magneti Marelli or Bosch electrical/electronic components.

I have also had a few problems with the fans(fusebox and wiring) and alternators(bad diodes) and AC(switch) on my Bosch component BB512i .

    A 348 wouldn't be a 348 without elctrical problems :D

THe Bosch 2.7 Injection system has so many components--a sensor or connection somewhere is bound to cause a problem!

    Hello,

Have a '78 308. Basically...changed all the electronics. No more points, new coils, new spark plug wires etc.

Had a bad coil, which allowed the fuel to exit the cylinders unburnt. It then combusted in the hot exhaust area melting a cat. and an exhaust sensor.

    Yikes.

    Yours,

    Tom

Several problems with my former '82 308 GTSi. Connection issues at the ECU's hidden in the trunk area. Once I found and resolved, reliable as a Toyota.
Replaced the Bosch electronic fuel pump 2x in 5 years. This year had Bosch K-Jetronic and a Marelli mix, if I recall correctly.
No electrical problems with my former '86 Euro TR other than the 02 sensor wire falling off when I Motocrossed out of a dirt lot at a car show. Again, Bosch K-Jetronic and a Marelli mix, if I recall correctly.
In over 2 years no problems until recently with my current '94 348 spider. ABS light came on for no apparent reason 3 weeks ago. Will troubleshoot over the winter. Bosch Motronic 2.7.
    Interesting question, Frank.

My 1990 348 has had several of the typical 348 electrical problems:

    1) Delco alternator went out - easily fixed for less than $100

    2) Thermocouple ECU's went out - easily fixed for about $350

    3) Ignition switch problem - easily bypassed

    4) Famous 348 a/c shutdown due to melted fuse - easily fixed for less than $1.00
