okay sarcasim i know, but c'mon this is getting outa hand! i have already removed and dissasembled, cleaned the fuse box and cleaned and applied stabilant 22 to every bloddy connector, fuse and plug. that helped alot with some of the problems i was having. then i went through the car and applied the afformentioned 22 to every connector i could get to.

so whats the problem? lets see...
windows/sunroof operate when they want to, nothing like a little rain when you can't roll up a window.
but the real bugger is the central locking, i have the doors at this point sans panels and i removed and cleaned and regreased the locks and cables to make sure everything moves smoothly. which it now does, however the 'motor' labled 'Fiat' is flippen possesed. it's a random working part, i removed the little black box and drilled out the rivits took it apart to see what was going on. the reason for dissasembly was simple "if it's not working now whats to lose?" apart it came, now i was expecting burned/rusted relays or something gone wrong, nope nothing looked brand new. so i took the time to apply 22 to every contact/switch well you get the idea. i then sealed it up and threw on new rivits.
once installed it worked for maybe 6 tries then nothing for a few hours and voila it worked again then back to sleep it went. i delved into the harness and the plugs, volts good @ 12.5 so we know its getting power. so where is the hang up? i wish i had a wiring diagram for the Mondi 8, the one i have for the later mondials is not relevant as those have a central switch in-line between the doors and i do not. the drivers door sends the signal not the passenger door. i'd like to know if it runs a fuse between the doors, i can't find any labled for it so i assume not.
the other oddity is the condensor fan for the AC. if i push the button for the defroster the fan kicks on, WTF? still scratching my head on that one.

for now the cars sits in pieces and i'm taking a break before i bust out my BFH and regret its use.

Good luck! When you find the source of the problems please post. I have a Mondi 8 as well. I was having electrical problems but they seem to have all magically disappeared a few weeks ago. Everything is working again and the car is running great.

I guess my sacrifices to the Ferrari god is working!

The major electrical issues on most Ferraris are:
    1. bad connections (typically fixed with Stabilant 22a)
    2. Bad/insufficient grounds (e.g. most Ferrari alternators need a large dedicated ground strap)
    3. Failing car battery
    4. Failing alternator system
    5. Corroded or otherwise failing relays
    6. Reverse current that is traveling backwards through dash bulbs that have burned out

You've discovered Stabilant 22a for your connections, so far, so good. Insure that you've got an adequate ground strap for your car battery and for your alternator.

Insure that you have a decent car battery (e.g. a new Optima yellow top). Insure that your alternator is giving enough amps in its output.

Replace any of your electrical relays that show exterior corrosion/flaking/oxidation (for the metal ones) or heat scarring/burn marks for the plastic-shelled ones.

Replace any failed dash bulbs with one-way LEDs.

Okay, you checked that voltage reaches the motor, and you cleaned the brushes and made sure the connections are tight. Off hand it sounds like a broken wire inside the motor coil making momentary contact, but before you shell out for a new one, I suggest you check for voltage at the motor when it's in failure mode. The fact it worked 6 times means the fact you had 12.5 volts when you measured was obvious. Now you need to find out if you have juice when the motor isn't working.

I would also suggest jumping power directly to the motor and cycle it a bunch of times. If it continues to work, then the problem lies elsewhere.

    your gonna love this, the inside guts have no conventional motor. the drivers door motor is in reality and set of three contact switches that relay a signal to the passenger door motor to operate. there is power going to the drivers door motor and signal leaving. it's wired with 4 lines;
    hot 12v
    ground
    12v switched/ground
    ground/ switched 12v

the passenger door motor recieves the signal from those two leads that switch polarity from the driver door motor. i'll be checking for a signal later this morning on the passenger side. if i get a signal than the motor is most likely got issues if not then some where between the doors is the problem. i'm not sure which would be the worst one at this point.
