You can begin with the battery.
Although an old battery can still start the engine, but it will cause electrical faults and trouble codes.

Do you have a code reader to pinpoint the exact fault code?

Not unusual for this to happen especially if she has not been driven often. I have had my car for 8 years and this light comes on every now and again. I switch off remove the key wait 5 seconds and start. The light does not come on again when I do this. The dealership tech says it is caused by a voltage drop but is not of concern. I maintain her on a tender at all times and battery is checked each annual service.

As long as she runs fine just drive and enjoy.

Common thing.Make sure the batt is good and keep it on the charger. It may also be the start of the screen going out. After fixing screen I have not had any repeats. Mike

OK, here’s my problem. I understand some people here are not car people, they join a forum when they have a problem with their car and need help. Otherwise they have zero involvement with the community. Fine, no problem, but at least have the courtesy to return to the thread and either thank people for their help, or say their solutions didn’t help, but here’s how they solved the problem.

I was going to respond to this thread, but first I checked on rdourro1. He/she has started 3 threads and all 3 are questions asking for help. In the first thread he/she received 11 replies and in the second thread received 23 replies. No “thank you” and no acknowledgement or other response in either thread.

rdourro1, please have the decency to reply to the members here who took the time to HELP YOU! Good grief. o_O

    OK, rant over.
