They aren't bad here. Pretty sure we paid less here than when we lived in Colorado. Everything seems expensive in LA.........................

Phoenix is much, much worse than Vegas.

During the summer you use a lot of AC. But in most cases this can be managed to minimize the use and cost impact.

I find everything is more expensive in LA. Like everything. :)

I did some research on my old LA bill. The majority was billed at Tier 3 $.036 per kWh which is over 3X what we pay here in Vegas.

Ive got 4 separate brand new AC units in the Vegas house so i can just AC where I am. Im sure thats going to tremendously cut down on my bill. Most of the day Ill be in my office so thats only one unit running.

A little under 13 cents per kWh in Houston. I keep it 67-71 F in my house year round and pay about $180 most months. During the summer we get to $250-$300 a month for 3400 square feet. It’s so cheap it’s like a rounding error in the budget, same as gasoline.

Exactly. My condo has 2 AC units that are separated by doors. Easy to cut down on power that way. I can just make the master and guest bedroom and bathroom cool at night. Or the opposite during the day.

In addition to that, you likely have insulation that is superior for heat, even in comparison to L.A.'s "meh" insulation for pleasant weather.
