Hi there, I want to produce a new board for my electric box. It seems that some of the wholes were made throughout the years and I hardly know what the original template should look like.

Does anybody have a good picture of an untouched board which I could use as a template?

    Regards,

    Martin

Here's my original for reference. Only changes during production were made to holes in the bottom for different types of voltage regulators and finally the horn relay was relocated there together with the warning light relay for charging.

My version is the 2nd series setup with Marelli IR50A regulator for 400 watt DN63 generator.

i concur, the factory (or whoever made them) did extend the holes a bit crudely, but was done to get more wires thru the hole etc.

i ordered my board from GTO and did an overlay with the old board - turned out great

also - as a tip to cleaning the components/fuse holders etc, i use the vapor cleaning process (like media cleaning buy they use water solution and ultra fine media, makes the pars like new. Careful, u need to be watching the process as it is cleaning because the brass/copper pieces will warp.

Ed, Did you mask off the exterior exposed part of the bakelite bases before the vapor blast, or does the process not texture the base material?

I did NOT tape off the bakelite material - the process is delicate to the finish on hard surfaces. It cleaned them beautifully.

As you would expect the brass and copper aspects as u can see cleaned up perfect. As i stated earlier, u have to watch thin brass/copper pieces so they don't warp, the water helps. I took apart the ignition switch and also did the inside terminals and rotating assembly - little grease on reassembly and works perfect.

    Delicate process -

The vapor honing cabinet and process is well known in the motorcycle industry - cleans heads, bare aluminum etc. We use the same process on Aluminum parts, bell housings, transmission cases (GM stuff) and also very great for the ferrari distributor housings, which does not get painted, but cleaned. Also use this process for the parts on the fuel pump housing.

Many uses, less abrasive....great results.. Takes restoration work to a higher level.

    Hi Martin,

I think you are talking of ‘Trockeneisstrahlen’ in german language and it is available in most places, also in Austria.
