Wow did the driver make it?
Nope. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. I know a girl who's a nurse where he was taken. She told me she heard he was missing his legs and most of one of his arms when he was brought in. But I can't confirm that. Probably rumor but would not suprise me if true.
I really could have done without reading that rumor Adon but thanks for the video. I've never driven that road but I've always heard mixed things about it.
no place to play......2222 also...Austin's packed with traffic these days.....head out towards Enchanted Rock... Thoughts and prayers to the Family....at least he lived in Austin......
maybe Wimberly...RR12... Although a High School mate was decapitated there............... Slow down..............breath deeply....
I know I don't do it, but I want to respond with.... or just play at the track and NOT on city roads. I don't care how bad ass a car can handle, how do you know a guy in an old pickup truck willed with sand didn;t just drive down the road before you and lose half his load. You would never see it, just slide off the road and all that expensive suspension work is worthless. Breaks my heart to see stuff like this.
That's pathetic that cops and the rest would do that. Doesn't surprise me though. There's a lot of other ways the speedo could be pegged at 120 too. God bless him, his family and friends. As was mentioned previously, sounded like an outstanding guy who will be missed dearly.
a friend is an ER doc in Austn and its my understanding that the front of the car was cut off by the Fire/Rescue team and not from the accident itself. the driver died from a torn aorta. apparently the passenger compartment held together pretty well considering the elise ran into not 1 but 2 pickup trucks.
