    Can i buy the paint of the red elite at a hobby shop or online somewhere? (pref. in a spray can)

    That is a crazy price. I saw that too!! He must think that this is a repeat of the release of the PlayStation III episode (where people will buy it for double or triple the price so they can be the first to say, "I got one.")....

    I bought one already ($70) but in the 60th anniversary Red. I'll post pics when i get it.... :)

    Nothing odd about it. The Elite is still not out "officially" but the models are being made so they are ready for the release date. So some people who obviously have ties in the factory, sneak them out and sell them on e-bay. They can not take the models with the boxes and orriginal package so that is why.
    I would not buy a model like this for few reasons.
    First you end up paying more than regular price (thank to shipping from China @ ungodly rates) for a model which is is going to lose at least half its value once the production is released on the market.
    Second, and I am not sure about thins, but the model you are buying may be assembled by the seller and not in the factory (it is easier to sneak out parts than a complete model)
    Third but not last by purchasing "black market" models like this, just to get the bragging rights that you have the first one on the block, people are encouraging even more of this activity, which I find highly immoral.

    They are showing up slowly on Ebay now in the original box from HW---Just ordered one for $65---thee guy has a few for sale...

    Yep, I do not understand why people can't wait for just a couple more weeks to get a 'legit' version of a model. After all, these things aren't iPhones ;)

    5 elites on eBay now, they are getting more plentiful now. Hopefully the blue elite will come out soon
