Is it feasible? I have two options, as I cannot travel with a rattle ball can,
and I need (ideally) a liquid sample.

    1. spray a piece of cardstock and have a suitable sample

    2. forget it. I looked at various google opinions and could not find a realistic reply

    Regards, Alberto

May be a little messy getting enough for your sample, but I know guys who will spray into a cup and then use brushes to apply to difficult spots touching up the paint

    Ship it to yourself.

It can be mailed to your final destination, right?

Adhere a small length of a plastic drinking straw to the nozzle of the spray can with something like bluetak (an adhesive putty) and tape. Spray outdoors in a place where spills and overspray don't matter into a suitable jar.
This is very important: leave the jar open and after a little while carefully and cautiously tap the sides of the jar. The paint will still be loaded with propellant gas and you need this out of the paint before you seal the jar.
When you are certain all the gas has escaped seal the jar and label it.

What I do... Never had a problem. I turn the can upside down somewhere where I can put a brick on it until the propellent has run out. Pop the can quickly with the pointy end of a can (punch can) opener. It's been a while but I think you may have to let the paint gas out.

Invert it and release all the gas from spray can first..It would be easy.
