Ok so my SCUD will have the E-DIFF control value replaced under warranty tomorrow, anything else the dealer needs to attend to in relation to end of term SCUD warranty items whilst it is there. I note the rear wheel drive train covers are slightly rusty, seems that happened to all 2008 cars including my 430 Spider

Agree, the panels covering the rear axles gets rusty very easily. Got the same problem on my 2005 F430 but fixed it myself.

Double check all campaigns has been done. I would ask them to remove all the underfloor panels to make sure there are no leaks anywhere. Right before my warranty was expiring, I asked for a full checkup including cylinder compression tests.

Check all the carbon fiber in the engine bay. Heat issues caused the CF to discolor. Very expensive to replace after the warranty expires.

So carbon parts for discoloration are under warranty??? I was told no replacement for just cosmetic issues.

Why not just purchase the Power Cube Factory extension?

Isolated issues I think, many 1000's of F cars running CCM's, a few people having problems in certain circumstances. My third car now with CCM's, nothing but praise!

+1 lets not stereotype some minor isolated issues ;)

You know the cost of a Power Cube? It's massive and I doubt if it is really justified. I had Power Cube before but decided not to renew the warrany as the F430 is very reliable and many things can be done by yourself. Also, any modification including exhaust would void the extended warranty. So I prefer freedom and self insurance ;) But if you want sleep in peace Richard, go for it ;)

Simply because compare your outlay to your return over a number of years, Ferrari is the winner, none of the Ferrari modern cars is a technical disaster and doing this on a Porsche is particularly stupid

lets search this Forum for Hmmm I need a new engine, you wont find very many posts. I also think that if you have earned enough to buy a Ferrari or 2 you have lived with the ability to take calculated risks, unless your dad gave you the money ....

Maybe I missed something, but is the replacement of the E-DIFF control value a common issue with the SCUD?
