After all that's been posted about the various labels, stickers, emblems, and decals on Ferraris, I still haven't been able to find anything about the engine bay label on my 1988.5 328 GTS that says: Ferrari This Vehicle is OBD Exempt 136614

This small label is black text on a matte silver label, and is positioned between the WARNING HIGH VOLTAGE and Emissions labels on the left side of the engine compartment.

Has anyone ever seen a restoration replacement for this label?

Can anyone point me to a current source for this label?

Tim, I am not sure anyone has made that one. If you can't find any and decide to make some let me know.

    Opps...

Haven't seen that small one either. Should be easy enough to replicate with a resin printer on a piece of matching vinyl.

This image is to scale. Your local print shop should be able to make. Cut at the black perimeter. I positioned the on label print as was on the original. I was very tempted to center it.

If you'd like a vector file of the label art (to take to your own print shop) - let me know, and I'll put something together. The biggest cost factor is actually going to be printing the label, as printing 1 isn't much cheaper than printing 100.

Can anyone comment on how many Ferraris used this exact label? I'm trying to get a feel for the number of labels that might be demanded, if I were to pursue reproducing this one.

I don,t understand why you would try to make them if the are out there for a very low cost.I got the large one for under $30.00 from the UK ,the have all the labels even the small ones.

Tim, 328, Mondial 3.2, TR prior to 512, very early 348 and Mondial t.

Its not all years of the TR, 328 and Mondial either. I'd have to research that a bit. The OBD compliance exemptions ended in 90 for California and I think 91 for the rest of the US but I am not sure when it started.

They should be cheap if you make a good number of them. I'd buy 20 or so.

Thanks Brian, that's the kind of ballpark I was looking for... if it's correct for that many models, I think it's fair to anticipate a reasonable number of folks would be interested in buying one or more. No need to do any further research; I was just trying to get to a 'few or many' kind of projection to inform my decision about if/how to pursue this.

If it were just one for my car, and nobody else would be interested, I'd put this off until a more convenient time, since I certainly don't need it urgently.

Seems like it's worthwhile to investigate sources for the correct stock (matte silver), adhesive, and so on... I'll start that process soon.
