Has anyone had the engine bay of a 458 or 488 signed by the people that built the car? Do you recall what Ferrari charged? Thank you

I’ve seen a TDF with the engine bay signed by the mechanics.
I think the dealer told me they signed there because it was a limited edition.

I've seen a few cars with signed engine bays and it doesn't seem to be restricted to any type of car. I've seen both the standard versions and limited versions signed.

I wonder how durable the signatures are however. The carbon fiber engine panels, especially in the mid-engine cars, get dirty quickly and need frequent cleaning. From what I remember, the signatures are on top of the clearcoat, not underneath.

I've seen it on a TM, and on a car that the guy bought but couldn't get TM'd, so Ferrari did it as a courtesy along with a few other customizations.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Looks like graffiti to me. I’d pay to not have it.

I requested this special option for my 70th anniversary 488GTB.
It was a bit less than $2.000 USD excluding taxes.
Take note that I requested also the signature of specific people inside the factory plus the normal signatures, so the price for this option could be even lower when you request only production people signatures.

Signatures remain under the clearcoat, so high temperature doesn’t damage them.

Yes, these specific signatures were from friends that not necessarily work on the production line.

Here is a pic as requested.
    Congrats for your Pista.

I found out whose signature it is! Mario Andretti. And I’m a follower of his on instagram so I sent him the photo and let him know how happy I am to have his signature on my Ferrari.

Phil Bachman, a collector in Tennessee asked for it to be done on his Enzo. It was signed by everyone on the line who had a hand in building the car. That was the first. He has had it done on several other of his cars and Ferrari has been offering as an option since.
