    Hey guys,
We know these cars get hot in there, but does anyone have data on how hot the air actually gets in a 360 or F430? Also surface temperatures for various areas would be helpful. We're not looking for water/coolant temps, only ambient engine compartment and component temp. Worst-case scenario - hot day in traffic, what levels are being experienced?
    Thanks!

Don't know temps, but when I lift the 430 lid, the air coming out seems less hot than my 328 under the same circumstances.

Thanks, this is good to know, but if some f-chatter wants to borrow the cooking thermometer from the kitchen and do some science fair experiments for us (especially after a hard drive), we'll be eternally grateful.

Looks like this would be a great use for Peter's IR temp gun that he's offering on sale on another thread. We're really looking for air temp, but surface temps of engine bay side panels and airboxes would be very useful, too.
