Engine cases for 512TR and Testarossa - same or not?

    There would have been no reason to change the part number if they were the same.

    There are no provisions on 512 block for crank sensors. Does not mean though that it is compatible the other way.

    As Mr. Rifledriver said, the blocks are different. I think the castings are the same but the machine work is different since the earlier cars had all the mounting lugs for the 'CIS' fuel injection drilled and tapped as well as some other stuff added/deleted.

    As more than the block needs replacing on one car I found, this is now sadly academic.
