ENGINE COMPARTMENT DETAILING

Over the years there have been many great photos of engine compartments that have been hilighted with aluminium colored air boxes. valve covers, ductwork, etc. Was this done with regular heat resistant aluminium paint or some other special process?

Also a feature thread that seems to have died out is the "Cleanest 348" (or 355). There were always a lot of inspsirational photos in this series.
