Has anyone had their filter boxes and plenum covers painted? Except for carbon fiber treatments, I don't think I've ever seen a photo of an engine compartment modified this way. I am thinking about having all of these parts powder coated during my upcoming major, but would like to see some photos if anyone has already done this. Thanks, Henry

Are we talking about a 355? The parts you are talking about are plastic on a 355.. Would they survive for powder coating process? 350-400 degrees F to melt the powder. I might be wrong but i don't think it would work out too well.

Sorry, yes it's a F355. I didn't know that the plenum covers were plastic.

Thanks for the photos Fab. That's exactly what I was thinking about doing. It looks great. So did you powder coat the plenum covers or use some other application?

    Oh Henry, tisk, risk, tisk.

Haven't you seen the pics of my engine, from my DIY posts? I have a bunch of parts that I had powder coated red.

Guess I must be going through a dry spell Ernie. First the belt change issue in the owners manual and now I somehow missed the shots (exquisite I'm sure) of your engine compartment. Perhaps it's it's time to just move on and buy that 67 Rambler I've always dreamed of...
