Need advice, my 2010 California has upon starting a low rumbling sound and two failure lights come on- “limited performance of the engine” & engine control system failure”
Can anyone advice if this is something major and what in anyone’s experience this was and repair costs?? Thank you all

Does it feel bogged down when you give it full throttle?

Did you start the car again a few times? Owners have stated that many times the light just goes away after starting cars again (Ferraris are very sensitive, a light does not mean there is something wrong if it goes away after one or several times). Do you have an OBD scanner to have more information and to clear the code (after taking a picture of the dashboard)? If the light/message still comes back and does not go away after all of this, then your Cali would need to be seen by an experienced mechanic.

Yes it does just seems like it’s gonna clunk out almost, then after about 5 minutes or so the revs balance out, but the engine light remains, it seems to smooth out after a while of roughness but doesn’t clear

Double check all the piping under the hood are connected and secured

Mine was a Maf that failed, intermittent for a while until it failed properly and ran like half the engine had fallen out. I was reading fault codes all the time but nothing maf related until it failed.
