I have managed to source the small cable retractor for the engine cover stay on my
    1978 carb 308.
My car has been missing this part the whole time I have owned it and I do not know whether this part was fixed with screws or riveted in place.

    Thanks for any help

    Hi Squirrelmonkey

thanks for your help. Do you know if they are Philips or straight screw. Black or silver.
I like to keep things as close to original as possible.
    Thanks

Verrell at Unobtanium Supply has been busy prototyping the design.

I purchased from Gerry at Forza Ferrari Sydney. I built 1 from 2 broken units. none left I'm afraid.
I've seen photos of the prototype Verrell is working on and they look quite good.

My 78 is very original and the stay is still working fine. I spent some time with one of the consultants on this board last fall looking over my car and he was amazed over and over again that mine was in perfect operating condition.

If I can help with any pictures or otherwise let me know.
