    So here we are again.

Was out today.....7000 rpm just beauriful.

Suddenly......like a resistance ......the engine still running clean but without power.

Next stop the engine just died.....impossible to start again. Only misfires.

Towed it home and tried to start in third gear clutch up and she starts again and runs clean as long as there are revs enough.

    Still that resistance though

Now she is home in the garage and refuses to start again.

Fuel pumps, fuel filter, ignition what can it be?

Hard to say from your description but I'd be thinking along the lines of "plugged cats" based on what little info you've given.

How do you check the flow through the cats?

Start taking them off and then try to start obviously but if they are clogged what to do then?

    New ones?

Even if a valve or two are burned it should start with the starter, dont you think?

    It runs clean but struggles.

    What about crankshaft ventilation?

    DON'T START THE ENGINE AGAIN!!!

This could be a sign that your timing belt jumped a couple of notches. Which means you probably didn't do any damage, but will if you keep trying to start it and it jumps a couple more notches.

This is just a possibility, but don't take any chances until you eliminate this possibility.
