Some folks clean their engines with Q-tips while others use Simple Green and a water hose. Both are probably right when used in moderation.

My specific question has to do with the M/M ignition modules. Are they waterproof? If I avoid the electrical connectors, can I wash these puppies down with Simple Green and water? (Yes, I know I CAN do it, but can I do it and hope to ever drive the car again?! :p

Thanks! Yes, I have a compressor and I use moisture absorbers at my air-hose end (because I paint). Do you reassemble with dielectric grease on the connectors/contacts after they have been stripped of their grunge and dried? Advice appreciated, BTW.
