Engine lid - quick paint scheme question

    348 production began in March 89. 328 production ended in August 89. They were built side by side for 6 months.

    Yep, as I take another look at the deck lids, you are correct, they look like 348 not 288. I got faked out looking at the underside of the unpainted ones and made a quick judgement. However, I'm still not seeing it as a 328. It would seem to me that the rear bumper piece should be there and to my eye it looks like it's just the body set up to receive the black rubber bumper of a 308.

    And now I question my sanity as I sit here trying to analyze a car that is on a production line in an old photograph and I realize that this wasn't even the original question. Good lord, what a rabbit hole!
