Has anyone tried to replace the fixture for the engine compartment/spare tire compartment light?
Do you mean a fixture such as the one in the third photo down in Jon G's restoration thread? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136802082&postcount=1375
It is interesting to note that early cars have an engine bay light mounted on the slotted tab located beside the serial number stamp. I believe the light is made by Foredit (the same company that makes the windshield washer fluid bags). See the attached photos for the light location as well as photo of the actual light installed. Dennis McCann clued me into this during my restoration and I saw the light on other early cars I used as a guide to complete my car. Disclaimer: The differences between 206/246, 246 L/M/E and GT/GTS cars are numerous and so what is right for one car can not be taken as necessarily correct for another.
