I have now my 430 Spyder for 2 month and last weekend the car developed a strange behaviour.

    - After the car is turned on, the engine light stays on. Shift in 1st gear and light goes off or shift in 1st gear, light still on, drive off light goes off.

    - One time I was only able to drive off very "jerky" and engine did not rev up. Stopped, turned off the car, started up again and everythig was fine.

I did a search and did not find anything. Checked the gas cap, looked fine. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you did wait for the Check OK indication before starting the engine? Such behavior would happen if you start the engine too fast.

Adding to Stef's post, the self-diagnosis takes a few seconds to complete after starting the engine, at which point the 'check engine' light goes out. You shouldn't drive the car before that happens.

Yes, for sure I waited for the check ok indication.

Is it okay to drive off if the engine light goes off immediately?

The car is in Naples, FL and there is no Ferrari dealership. There are dealers in Tampa and Miami. Any recommendation?

Since it is a ride to get to a dealer, I would suggest you get a code reader so that you at least know what the car knows. The codes will make it much easier to determine the issue(s) and severity.........Steve
