I removed the 246 engine brackets wut got them mixed up...now I read they are position specific ..can somebody put me in the picture and advise how they go back.

Also I want to change the ignition system....the one touted in the UK seems great but very expensive at $ 1900 with Vat.

    Any good alternative ?

    Thanks

If you want to keep the points setup and (visual) originality is not a concern, then a MSD Digital 6A or MSD 6AL-2 with an MSD Blaster II coil is the best choice. The MSD 6A ignition also has the same CDI principle as the original Dinoplex.

The MSD ignition can be wired up similar to the original Dinoplex for offering a Normale (Electronic ignition) and Emergenza (Points and coil only if the MSD should fail) mode.

For an L and early M series Dino, which came with a Dinoplex D/DA, the MSD Digital 6A fits in the original space of the Dinoplex. For late M and E series, the MSD 6AL-2 will fit into the space of the original Dinoplex AEC103A.

    good luck,
    Adrian
