I am just changing the oil on my Dino ( Who puts 2 drain plugs in and 42mm A/F ) and wondered if anybody is running fully synthetic oil like Mobil 1 ? if so any problems ? i was told its possibly to light for the job and the heavier oils maybe better all comments welcome i only just got the car and dont want to kill it before its even left the garage.

    I've run both.

We've had several discussions here about oil, syn vs. dino, with the only conclusion being...

Run either, they both work. Synthetic might leak a little more, it might not. Dino oil might not last as long, but it might. Synthetic is better in colder weather, or it isn't.

This thread is recent, and runs the gamut.

a search of "dino oil" will produce a multitude of threads.

'bout the only thing everyone agrees on?? 20w-50.

Why did you comment on two drain plugs?
For the record I use Amsoil 20/50. Most important keep the level up.
    congratulations.

well i was a bit supprised at two plugs but thats more obvious when you get under and see why they did it . Secondly you need a 42mm skinny socket or tube spanner to get them off.
I cut one on the wire cut at work so that wasnt a problem.
A 12mm allen key to remove the trans plug
And i also have a drain plug on the bottom of the differential housing which dosnt appear in my workshop manual or the drawing from DM Oh its a 71 euro model in case anybody knows why ?
    Any comments welcome
