Engine out question

    Ok so I have my 348 engine out and received my parts from Daniel (Thanks for the hat!) and I searched for the answer of this question and no real clear answer-

    Should I or should I not use sealant at the cam seal area and cam covers. I don't need to shim the cams so I was not going to remove them. The seals are the newer design with the relief notch in them and really no leaks from that area, so have at it, sealant or not, what say the group.....

    One last question anyone remember the torque setting of the cam cover nuts and rear cam seal bolts and nuts

    It's a 95 so if I understand it was an update done by the factory, so I think I'm covered with the relief oil drain back hole.

    It's a great hat, the white hat with the red logo is perfect, so they can find me in a snow bank if needed.
