Guys, any trick to getting off the panel on the right side to get to the dipstick for the F1 pump filling area...I removed the 4 screws, but that panel will not come off by about 1/16h of an inch do to the way it is wedged in there...Please advise!!! Thanks!

I am still hoping someone can give me some insight as to how to wedge out that one engine compartment cover to get to the F1 Pump filling area so I can check the level on my 05' F430. The panel is just slightly to big to just come out...Does the air intake cover have to come off first? Thanks as always...

Hmm difficult to explain how to remove it. I've done it a 100 times but it's more challenging to write how to and to do it ;). No need to remove anything else. Just the 4 bolds of this panel. Then, grab the rear part of the planel, move it away from the body, slightly upwards and the inner part which is behind the big engine panel will slide out.

Make several attempts as this panel should get out without forcing at all.

It's a pig to remove, just requires some patience, it will come out without removing anything else. As Stefvan said, it's all in the angles at which you remove it.

Make sure there're only 4 bolts; spider has 5 on each side :). I just removed both to touch-up the areas where taillights scraped the paint. The hardest part is putting the covers BACK ON, so try to remember how you removed them < he he>. You have to lift them a little towards the back so they can clear the rail by the rear grille area. I also removed the nuts from the grille (1 on each side) to make things easier. Again, removing them will be a lot easier than putting them back on, so take your time, and focus how they come out so you can put them back in relatively easy.

I suggest you sand down the sharp areas on your taillamps so they don't scrape your paint over time. With the covers off, you did most of the work already. Each tail has 3 nuts; just label them or make sure you put them back in the same spot. Good luck.
