I'm sure with all the Rivnuts used in these cars it's not a matter of if, but when you will have a Rivnut just sprin and spin.... Well happened to me trying to take off my rear engine panel. I was able to grab (and destroy) a forked plastic trim tool to apply pressure while removing the bolt. Anyway wanted to share, luckily I have a rivnut tool from Amazon for when I added my scrape guards. This combined with a big neoprene washer to prevent scratching the painted rivnut and to allow some play so I don't over tighten the nut and risk the threads was all that was needed. Now it's like brand new and I can put on and take off my engine side panel without a problem. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
