when I cruise at 50Mph/80kmh, (around 2500rpms) in 5 th gear, and try to gently accelerate, its like the engine stumbles a bit...when i get above 3000 rpms is all smooth sailing..

Should I just keep the reves up a bit,and down shift to 4th..These "high revs" are new to mee

    Or dosent this sound normal?

2500 is a low in the power curve for 5th gear. Although stumbles could be the air cleaner or plug wires, or stuff like that. I would shift down to get it to 3500+.
When I first bought my 355 it was hard to find the shift points, especially with the top down since the engine is so much louder than any other car.

i just pulled the air filter... 10 leaves and ALOT of sand, I could keep beating that thing for hours and it would still be dusty. I cleaned it as good as I could without my Air tools. Time for a new filter I guess.

First thing i noticed was that the car became louder, the NOISE would kick in at at 5k before now its strong from 4k...Definatly louder!

3000 rpms i 5th, it wil still stumble/shake when I accelerate. When I get above 3000, or just shift down to 4th, it pulls hard and even all the way to rev limit.

So is 3000 rpms in 5th just wrong in a 90´348, or do I have a problem?

I am no expert, but would inspect your spark plugs and wires.

yes, But when the stumbling is only at that specific situation hard load/acceleration with reves below 3k

Wouldet plugs/wires give problems on the entire rev band?
