    Ok so I'm up here 3000 plus km north of sunny cal and went for a drive today. While cruising down the hi way the engine temp was way below normal about 170 instead of 190 out side air temp of 34 F or plus 1 C. Won't these motors stay warm when cold out?

    Thermostat opening too early
    Also the dash gauge is not always correct I keep a scan gauge hooked up all the time and use that

    :)

    Actually good point I even had the dame obd hooked up but didn't look. Maybe it's the gauge because I just replaced the thermo in California because it was running cold and it was better down there immediately so I don't think it's the gauge. That being said I guess it could fail at any time.
