    hi all,
Do any of you still use Englebert tires for vintage racing/motoring?
I know that in the mid 50's this was the tire of choice at Ferrari..

I have a 50's racer and trying to maintain the present set up (5.50x15 Englebert racing), hoping i can get a lead on where to get my hands on a set of 4 tires. I understand that they are no longer being produced...

Repros have been recently made for vintage show cars and look OK, but as in the past one should not use them at speed.

Michelin made a run of them a few years ago and they were very good, far superior to anything else out there.

Unfortunately, they are no longer available.

    Agreed !
The later Engleberts, were distributed by Corky Coker, try talking to him. But unless he get's enough interest, to have another run made, I think you're SOL.

    Regards,
    Bill

He is marketing the Excelsior which is a replica of the original Engleberts (see picture below). They look good enough but I do not know how well they work. Anyone care to comment? Thanks.
