It's so delayed, who know when (if ever?) they will finally release it. I will probably put my D700 up for sale on ebay the day they officially announce it and pre order one. per Mr. Rockwells advice!
Actually, yes. Nikon seem to have avoided getting into a megapixel race, so this would be something of a departure for them, especially as the last last FF release (D3s) is still only 12mp. I'm never sure whether nikonrumors.com just publish what they want Nikon to make, or what they think their readers want Nikon to make.
